Patna: Monsoon has been fully active in Bihar for the last five days. There is a possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorms in five districts of western Bihar on Wednesday. These districts include Gopalganj, Siwan, Buxar, Kaimur and Rohtas. There may also be moderate rain with thunderstorms in the northern and southeastern parts. The monsoon will not be very active in central Bihar, including the capital Patna, but the sky will remain cloudy. People will have to wait for the sun to rise.

Heavy rains in Bihar for the next seven days

According to the Meteorological Department, from Wednesday onwards, there will be heavy rainfall across Bihar for the next seven days. The monsoon will remain fully active. There will be light to very light rainfall in all areas. Moderate rainfall will be recorded in some districts. A warning for heavy rainfall has been issued in five districts. Actually, the monsoon was a little weak in Bihar on Tuesday. In many districts, the heat was scorching. However, the Meteorological Department says that from Wednesday onwards, there will be heavy rainfall across Bihar for the next seven days and the monsoon will be fully active. The Met Department has said that there will be light to very light rainfall in all districts. Moderate rainfall will be recorded in some districts. At the same time, a warning for heavy rainfall has been issued in five districts.

Where did it rain on Tuesday?

The highest rainfall of 84.6 mm was recorded in Katihar on Tuesday. 75.8 mm of rain was recorded in Sitamarhi and 74.2 mm of rain in Nawada. 61 mm of rainfall was recorded in Jamui, 55.6 mm in Buxar, 55.2 mm in Purnia, 54.2 mm in Muzaffarpur, 52.2 mm in Sheikhpura, 50.02 mm in Madhubani, 49.2 mm in Lakhisarai, 45.6 mm in Bhagalpur and 43.5 mm in Gaya. Siwan, Bhojpur, Arwal and Aurangabad also received moderate rainfall. Very light rainfall occurred in the western parts of the capital Patna.
