Viral video: Bird ‘unfurls’ national flag in Kerala
An unexpected guest, a bird seemingly unfurling the Indian national flag, has left people in awe. The video, shared on microblogging site X on August 17, has garnered over a million views. The clip begins by showing a group of people, including children, gathered together to celebrate. Independence DayAs the flag reaches the top of the flagpole, everyone looks up in curiosity. At that moment, a bird appears to fly towards the flag, seemingly prompting it to unfurl and release flower petals. A user named Shilpa shared the video with the caption: “A bird came out of nowhere and unfurled it!”
Reacting to the video, one user wrote: “The bird must be a reincarnated patriotic spirit.”
Another commented: “It looks like a beautiful and symbolic moment! Nature’s intervention to help during such a significant event must have been magical. It’s moments like these that make the ceremonies even more memorable.”
“The birds show the true meaning of freedom. They come from nowhere, help raise the flag and then fly away. True independence,” read another comment.
However, not everyone shared this interpretation. Several social media users suggested that the bird’s actions were unrelated to the flag. They argued that the bird simply perched on a coconut leaf behind the flagpole and that the camera angle made it look as if it had interacted with the flag.
One person commented: “The bird just landed on the branch and then flew away. It didn’t unfurl the flag; the camera angle created that illusion.”
Another added: “The bird came and sat on the tree behind the flag, it has nothing to do with the flag being displayed. Stop sharing false information.”
