BJP : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday protested in 245 slums of Delhi as part of its drive to reach out to the slums of the national capital.
The BJP alleged poor living conditions and lack of development during the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. BJP Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva, who is spearheading the campaign, said slum dwellers, who are suffering due to AAP mismanagement, are determined to topple the AAP government in the capital. national. ‘Those living in slums are fed up with Kejriwal’s broken promises…’
Sachdeva said, “The middle class and people living in slums are fed up with the broken promises of Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi. These citizens, forced to live in miserable conditions, will drive the AAP out of Delhi.”
He also assured that if the BJP comes to power, it will work to improve the lives of the slum dwellers of Delhi. Many leaders including Dushyant Gautam, Ramveer Singh Bidhuri, Yogendra Chandolia, Kamaljit Sehrawat, Vijendra Gupta and Meenakshi Lekhi were among those who participated in the protest.
‘Citizens were used as political pawns’
The BJP leaders in a statement also accused the AAP government of failing to fulfill the promises made to these vulnerable communities. BJP leader Praveen Khandelwal said, “For years, the AAP government has used these citizens as political pawns but has not brought about any improvement in their (citizens’) standard of living.
