Special teachers will soon be appointed in Bihar. The education department has made all preparations for this. The department has received the list of its posts from the districts. Now your application will be sent to the General Administration Department, through which it will reach the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). After this, applications will be received from the eligible candidates by publishing an advertisement by BPSC. These teachers are being appointed to teach children with special needs in various districts of the state. These teachers will be selected through PPSC only. All of these teachers will be competent in teaching disabled children. Of these, 5,534 positions will be designated in elementary schools (classes 1 to 5) and 1,745 positions in middle schools (classes 6 to 8).

The education department’s preparations for appointment to these posts are in the final stages. The eligibility test of teachers for the appointment of special teachers has already been carried out. Only candidates who pass this eligibility test will be able to apply for appointment to these positions. In this regard, officials say that these teachers are being designated to teach a total of nine types of children with special needs. There will be separate specialist teachers for children who cannot see or have low vision. Similarly, other children with special needs will also be taught by special teachers. Authorities also say that schools currently do not have the facilities to teach these children. Special measures have been taken for this at the district level. Once the special teachers are appointed, arrangements will be made for the teaching of these children at the school level.
