CAG signs pact with General Court of Audit of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has signed a pact with the General Court of Auditors, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia To strengthen cooperation and the exchange of knowledge between the two nations in the field of public sector auditing. The area of ​​cooperation includes the implementation of joint training programmes on topics related to financial, performance and compliance audits, and the exchange of audit manuals and methodologies, CAG saying.

The Memorandum of Understanding (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed on Thursday in Riyadh.

“Our commitment to a strong bilateral relationship is a testament to the shared values ​​and objectives of our institutions and will serve to strengthen the ties between our SAIs and our nations,” said CAG Girish Chandra Murmu.

The CAG said the support and cooperation between the two SAIs will boost their capacity development initiatives and foster the exchange of knowledge and information between the two Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs).

Hussam Abdulmohsen Alangari, President of the General Court of Accounts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighted the importance of the agreement to enhance cooperation in areas of competence of the two SAIs in order to improve their respective external audit practices.
