Ongoing registration for all traditional-professional UG subjects including MA, MSC, MCom at Charan Singh University campus and affiliated colleges and vacant seats in UG colleges only were closed on Monday evening. These registrations were underway for first open merit in PG subjects and second open merit in graduation.
The university did not extend the last date on Monday. However, today the wait for the proposed cut-off has increased. The university will hold a meeting today to decide when the first open merit of PG and second open merit of UG will be announced and when the admission process will be held.
LLB registration to continue: Despite the closure of online registration in traditional-professional UG-PG courses, LLB registration will continue for now. 80 colleges of the university are online on the LLB admission portal. In this regard, LLB registration can also be done in four aided colleges. According to the university, these aided colleges include NREC College Khurja, MMH College Ghaziabad, Meerut College Meerut and NAS College Meerut. These four colleges have seen more than double the number of enrolments in relation to seats. According to the university, there are 1665 enrolments in 300 seats in Meerut College, 1417 in 180 seats in NAS, 598 in 120 seats in NREC College and 1008 enrolments in 120 seats in MMH College.
Student protest, registration closed without result
Students have raised questions over the closure of registration for PG subjects in the university. According to former general secretary Ankit Adhana, there are many universities where the results of the last semester in UG NEP and the last year in the annual system are yet to be released. Thousands of students are waiting for the results in these universities. There are thousands of students whose last semester results are flawed and there has been no improvement so far. None of them could register for the first semester of PG. The last date was on Monday and the campus remained closed on Sunday. According to the former general secretary, the university is depriving thousands of students who are in a hurry to get admission in PG from registration. The students have demanded extension of date of registration in PG. The university has agreed to review the objections of the students today.
