On Tuesday, Indian Railways said that at least three more Vande Bharat Express trains will run in Odisha from September 15. Giving further details, East Coast Railway said that the new trains that will run in Odisha are Tata-Berhampur, Rourkela-Howrah and Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express.
Currently, three Vande Bharat trains are running in Odisha and the number will be increased to six once the new ones are operational, ECoR said.
These three are among the 10 trains that Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to launch on September 15.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi received an invitation from Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to join the event at Berhampur on Sunday.
ECoR General Manager Parameswar Funkwal called on the Prime Minister in his Assembly chamber and handed over the message and invitation from Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Vaishnaw asked Majhi to join an event at Berhampur railway station to mark the occasion.
Majhi thanked the Railway Minister for the invitation.
In a statement, the CMO said that to further strengthen railway infrastructure in Odisha, the Centre has made a budgetary provision of Rs 10,586 crore in 2024-25.
