Chatarpur: In the much talked about Kotwali Stone case in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district, the police investigation and arrest of the accused is still going on. On Thursday, the regional police again arrested two accused of stone pelting, one of whom is a minor. According to information, both the arrested accused were roaming around the city in disguise, after being identified they were arrested.

CSP gave information

CSP Aman Mishra said that so far a total of 45 accused have been arrested in the Kotwali stone case, who have been sent to jail after being produced before the court. At the same time, regarding the accused arrested on Thursday, CSP said that these accused have been identified as Farooq Raine, father of Irfan Raine (19 years), resident of Narayanpur Road Nat Mohalla Chhatarpur, while the other accused is a minor.

Both defendants were wandering around in disguise.

CSP said both the accused cut their hair and changed their clothes so that they could not be recognized. After being identified by the police team, both were arrested and produced before the court, from where Farooq was sent to jail and the minor accused to a juvenile home.

43 defendants sent to prisons in other districts

District jail deputy SP Ram Shiromani Pandey said that the accused in the stone case who reached the jail after their arrest are being sent to other jails in the state. Pandey said that the capacity of the district jail is only 292 prisoners but there were around 500 prisoners including the accused in the stone case. Jail SP said that keeping security in mind, additional prisoners are being sent to other jails in the state. The matter has been communicated to the higher management through a letter. The appearance of the transferred prisoners will be done through online video conferencing and they will be brought to Chhatarpur only when absolutely necessary.

Deputy SP of the jail Ram Shiromani Pandey said that Haji Shehzad Ali, the main accused in the stone pelting case, has been shifted to Bhopal Central Jail while Mohd. Zahoor, Faizan, Mohd. Ehsaan, Shoaib Ali, Syed Javed, Sheikh Javed, Mohd. Arif Raza, Nazim, Mohd. Irfan, Sheikh Faizan, Anjar, Mohd. Mehmood, Jabir, Naeem alias Monu and Azad have been sent to Sagar Central Jail. So have Mohd. Faizan, Sheikh Shahzad, Aslam, Alfaz, Altaf, Arif, Mohd. Ashraf, Mohd. Bilal, Mohd. Salman is in Gwalior Central Jail and Sheikh Muqeem, Rustum, Salman, Furkan Ahmed, Rashid, Rakib, Akhlakh Ahmed, Irfan Raine, Faiyaz, Salman, Danish, Mohd. Asif, Inayat, Moeen and Sajid have been shifted to Satna Central Jail.
