CHO created ruckus in Muzaffarpur civil surgeon’s office and made serious allegations against DPM

Muzaffarpur News: On Monday, community health officers (CHOs) from across the district created a ruckus at Sadar Hospital in Muzaffarpur district in protest against the working style of the District Programme Manager (DPM). The CHO also raised slogans. The CHO accused the DPM of using indecent and abusive language in the meeting. He also makes personal remarks about the female CHO. Due to which all the workers are being mentally harassed.

Demand for strict measures

Hundreds of CHOs today contacted the Civil Surgeon’s office regarding the DPM’s working style. She also appealed to the Civil Surgeon to take strict action against the DPM. The CHO said that if strict action is not taken against the DPM, she will also approach the Women’s Commission.

In the petition filed by the CHO, it was stated that the DPM Muzaffarpur addressed all the CHOs using indecent and rude words in the VC meeting and DHS meeting. Personal remarks have also been made against the female CHO using abusive language, which is highly condemnable and extremely embarrassing for the female CHO. Due to this kind of behaviour of DPM, the female employees (CHOs) are being mentally harassed and all the CHOs are not comfortable working with him.

What did the civil surgeon say?

On the whole issue, Civil Surgeon Dr Ajay Kumar said that the application was filed by the CHO. In which objection has been raised over the tone of the DPM’s conversation. A committee will be formed to look into the matter. Further action will be taken on the basis of the committee’s report.
