The National Civil Services Capacity Building Program or Karmayogi Mission was launched in September 2020 to encourage capacity building of civil servants. It also envisions a future-ready public administration, rooted in the Indian spirit, with a global perspective.

Addressing the gathering, Modi said through Mission Karmayogi that “our objective is to create human resources who become the driving force of development of our country.”

Expressing his satisfaction with the progress made, he stated that “if we continue working with this passion, no one will be able to stop the country from progressing.”

Modi stressed that new learnings and experiences during National Apprenticeship Week will strengthen and help improve work systems, “which will help us achieve our goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.”

The Prime Minister also spoke about the steps taken to change the mindset of the government in the last 10 years, the impact of which is being felt by the people today.

He said this has been possible due to the efforts of people working in the government and the impact of measures like the Karmayogi Mission.

The National Apprenticeship Week launched on Saturday will provide fresh impetus towards developing individual and organizational capabilities of civil servants, creating a “one government” message and aligning everyone with national goals and promoting lifelong learning, according to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Modi praised the iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) platform and said that more than 40 lakh government employees have registered with it.

“There are more than 1,400 courses available and officers have received more than 1.5 million certificates of completion in various courses,” the statement said.
