Dhoraiya. On the occasion of completion of 10 years of establishment of Swachh Bharat Mission, Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 was inaugurated by SDC Trainee Apeksha Modi by flagging it off. Later, under the leadership of SDC, all the officers, workers and sanitation workers of the block were administered the oath of cleanliness. Block Coordinator Anil Kumar said that the Swachhta Hi Seva 2024 programme will be held from September 17 to October 2, 2024 as a celebration of the changes and achievements in the field of cleanliness. According to the Belhar representative, the Swachhta Hi Seva 2024 programme was inaugurated with much fanfare at the block campus on Tuesday. Apart from BDO Kumar Saurabh, CO Shashikant Shukla, Jeevika Block Manager Tohid Kazmi, Sanitation Supervisor Ruby Kumari, Chief Ramanand Pandit, Chief Representative Manoj Yadav, Ramji Bhagat, Vishnudev Yadav, Chief Vijay Hansda, Abhishek Kumar, Sheetal Pandit etc., public representatives and workers jointly started the programme by lighting the lamp. After this, the premises of the block were cleaned with brooms and after displaying the green flag, sanitation commissioners and sanitation workers were sent to start the cleanliness drive in all the hamlets of the block. On this occasion, Jeevika pledged not to spread dirt around her and to motivate herself and people to maintain cleanliness.

According to Banka (Rajaun) representative, a meeting was organised at the block office auditorium on Wednesday regarding Swachhata Hi Seva programme in Rajaun block. In the meeting organised under the chairmanship of Senior Deputy Collector-in-Training cum BDO cum CO Keshav Anand, BDO Anantha Kumari and Odhara Panchayat Chief Praveen Kumar Singh along with sanitation supervisors were present. During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held to make the Swachhta Hi Seva programme a success. Prior to this, under the Swachhta Hi Seva, Prabhat Pheri was brought to Rajoun and an appeal was made to the people to be conscious about cleanliness. The programme was inaugurated by jointly lighting the lamp by Senior Deputy Collector cum BDO cum CO Chief Ruby Devi, BDO Anantha Kumari, CO Kumari Sushma and BPRO Deepshikha etc. During this, acceptance letters were distributed among the beneficiaries who received the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Along with this, the message of environment protection was also given by planting a tree in the name of the mother. On this occasion, a large number of people were present including Mukhiya Sangh President Mrityunjay Kumar, Mukhiya representatives Dayashankar Singh, Manoj Singh, Tinku Singh and Ranvijay Singh.

According to the Shambhuganj representative, a function was organised on Tuesday under the chairmanship of BDO Nitish Kumar at the mini auditorium located at IT Bhawan Shambhuganj campus. At the ceremony, the cleaning supervisors, labourers and other workers present in the Swachhta Hi Seva programme under the second phase of Swachh Bharat Mission – Rural and Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan were administered the oath of cleanliness by the BDO. Besides, a cleanliness demonstration was also held. Health check-ups of all sanitation workers and residential assistants were conducted at CHC Shambhuganj. At the same time, BDO distributed acceptance letters to 27 selected beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin and symbolic house keys and entry keys were distributed to the beneficiaries of 19 pre-constructed houses. At the venue, Housing Supervisor Praveen Kumar, Executive Assistant Mohd. Aleem Ansari, Housing Assistant Ranjan Kumar, Nikunj Bihari, Pritam Kumar, Executive Assistant of Sanitation Office Suman Kumar, Sanitation Supervisor Tapan Kumar, Mithlesh Kumar, Neeraj Kumar and others were there.
