CM Nitish’s big meeting today for Purnia airport, MP Pappu Yadav’s grief at not getting invite

Purnia: Planes will soon be able to take off from Purnia airport in Bihar. Thanks to the efforts of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the road to Purnia airport has been cleared. Air service is expected to start from here by 2025. Nitish Kumar will inspect the airport on Saturday and will also hold a grand meeting in this regard. In which officials from Patna and Delhi will be included. But local MP Pappu Yadav regrets that he was not called for this meeting. Considering that he has been continuously raising this issue in Parliament.

Big meeting for Purnia airport

The Purnia airport issue was stuck in a land dispute for a long time. But now the land issue has been resolved and the central government has also allocated a budget of Rs 432 crore. The construction of this airport will benefit the people of Purnia as well as Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Khagaria, Bhagalpur and Sahebganj of Jharkhand.

MP Pappu Yadav did not receive the call

However, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav has expressed displeasure over not receiving the invitation for the meeting to be held at the airport. He said, ‘The government is not following protocol. I am not invited to any programme.’ He further said, ‘The Chief Minister is holding a meeting for the airport, which I appreciate. Pappu Yadav is always with the government on development.

Purnia airport case stuck for 9 years

The Bihar government has acquired 52.18 acres of land for the airport, which will soon be handed over to the Airports Authority of India. AAI has demanded an additional 15 acres of land, the acquisition process for which is underway. Purnia airport is part of the Prime Minister’s Bihar package of 2015. This project was stalled for the last 9 years.
