CM Yogi has directed the Basic Education Department to implement the High Court decision on recruitment of 69 thousand teachers.

UP News: In the case of reservation in recruitment of 69,000 teachers in Uttar Pradesh, a bench of the Allahabad High Court has ordered to prepare a fresh merit list. Following this decision, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting at the CM residence in Lucknow. In this meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the Basic Education Department to take action as per the decision of the Lucknow bench of the High Court. Along with this, CM Yogi told the departmental officials that no injustice should be done to any candidate.

Following the meeting held at the CM residence, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took to the social media platform to say, “The department has been instructed to take action in the light of the observation of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and the decision of the Lucknow Bench of the Hon’ble Allahabad High Court. The Uttar Pradesh government is of the clear view that reserved category candidates should get the benefit of reservation service as provided under the Constitution and no injustice should be done to any candidate.”

The effect of this decision will be visible to around 6,000 workers.

Following the order of a bench of the Allahabad High Court regarding the recruitment of 69,000 teachers in Uttar Pradesh, the Basic Education Department has started the implementation in a hurry. Now, if the Basic Education Department prepares a new list, it will affect 5,000 to 6,000 workers. Let us tell you that in this case, a list of 6,800 affected reserved category candidates was submitted by the government in the single bench in January 2022. But later the single bench cancelled this too and ordered to prepare a new list.
