Coca-Cola names Greishma Singh as vice president of marketing

Beverage manufacturer Coca-cola India has appointed Greishma Singh As vice president of marketing, Singh leaves her current role as vice president of commercial and customer leadership, where she led revenue growth management, market value, customer value creation and a customer management group.

A Coca-Cola spokesperson declined to comment. ET has learned that a formal announcement is expected within a couple of days.

Singh has worked in the Coca-Cola system for over 11 years in India and Australia.

Singh replaces previous marketing chief Arnab Roywho assumed the role of president of the global category of Coca-Cola in Atlanta.

Coca-Cola is one of the largest advertisers in the country.

Late last year, the drinks maker renewed its partnership with the International Cricket Council (ICC) for eight years until 2031, which includes sponsorships of all major ICC global events worldwide. Under the deal, Coca-Cola drinks brands have exclusive marketing rights at marquee events such as the World Cup and Champions Trophy. Coca-Cola maker, Thumbs up and Sprite soft drinks reported double-digit volume growth in the April-June quarter. “The India business rebounded nicely from a slow start earlier in the year, driven by strong performance from Sprite and Fanta and local brands like Thums Up. We saw double-digit volume growth in the country,” James Quincey, chief executive of the Coca-Cola Company, told investors during an earnings conference call. “With a strong second quarter, the India business delivered a big turnaround on the bottom line… Looking ahead, while growth will not be a straight line, we certainly remain optimistic about the Indian market,” he added.
