In this, he died on the spot. Relatives said that four to five masked miscreants had committed the crime. After the incident, the police started investigating the murder. Police have said that the attackers not only shot at the local Congress leader but also hurled crude bombs at him. The deceased has been identified as Sheikh Saifuddin, an influential Congress leader from Gopalpur area of ​​Manikchak.

Relatives make serious accusations against TMC

Relatives of Congress leader Sheikh Saifuddin have claimed that he was killed by goons backed by the Trinamool Congress. However, the ruling party in West Bengal has rejected this allegation.

The miscreants committed the crime at Dharampur Stand market. Saifuddin’s family has claimed that four to five masked persons opened fire on him and hurled two crude bombs at him. He lost his life in this. Congress leader Saifuddin was killed on the spot.

The locals protested by keeping the dead body on the road. When the police reached there, people also protested against the police. Former MP Abu Hashem Khan Chaudhary also participated in the protest along with the dead body. The protest was called off after about six hours. After this, the police sent the body for post-mortem. A Congress leader said that the police asked for 72 hours to arrest the culprits. Therefore, the Congress withdrew its protest. The police said that an investigation has been started into the matter. Soon the culprits will be identified and arrested.
