How different is the 2024 Hyundai Alcazar from the Creta?

The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar has been announced for launch in India on September 9. Alcazar is an extended edition built on the platform of Creta. Despite this, it has a different identity from Hyundai Creta in many aspects, today we will know the difference between Creta and Alcazar.

Hyundai Creta Vs 2024 Hyundai Alcazar: Overview

The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is likely to get a choice of either a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. In contrast, the Hyundai Creta also offers a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol option. Interestingly, the 1.5L turbo-petrol unit on the Hyundai Alcazar will also get a manual transmission option in addition to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The top-end trim level of the Hyundai Alcazar is expected to be around ₹50,000 more expensive than the outgoing model, though the starting price may remain the same.

Hyundai Creta Vs Hyundai Alcázar 2024: Design

Despite sharing its underpinnings with the updated Hyundai Creta, the 2024 Hyundai Alcazar differentiates itself with notable design changes. The main point of difference is that the Alcazar is a three-row SUV, while the Creta is a two-row SUV. This means that while the Creta seats five passengers, the Hyundai Alcazar, on the other hand, seats either six or seven passengers, depending on the configuration.

On the side too, the facelifted Alcazar SUV receives several updates. The Korean auto giant has made more powerful changes to the SUV with a new character line and larger wheel arches. The rear quarter glass also appears larger than that of the previous generation. The roof rails have also been updated and will likely be functional in nature.
In terms of design upgrades, unlike the previous model, the 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is quite different from the Creta. The new Alcazar gets a distinct front fascia with a different H-shaped DRL pattern, a redesigned grille, and a redesigned bumper. On the side, the Alcazar gets 18-inch alloy wheels, while the Creta makes do with 17-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the new Alcazar features a connected taillight setup with the ‘Alcazar’ logo below it.

Hyundai Creta Vs Hyundai Alcázar 2024: Interior

Apart from the exterior, the 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is very similar to the Creta on the inside. However, the cabin of the Hyundai Alcazar has a different colour theme, with a distinctive dual-tone Noble Brown and Haze Navy colour scheme. Another major difference between the Alcazar and Creta is the seating arrangement.

While the Hyundai Creta gets a bench for the second row, the Alcazar, on the other hand, gets the option of a captain’s chair with extendable leg rest, armrest, and cooling feature or a bench for the second row. Additionally, the Hyundai Alcazar also offers electrically adjustable front seats for the rear passengers. Talking about similarities, just like the Creta, the Hyundai Alcazar will also get Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features, 360-degree camera, and panoramic sunroof.
