Darbhanga: Two youths were brutally beaten to death on suspicion of robbery in Turki village under Behari police station area. The fight was so brutal that one youth was killed and the other was seriously injured. Police have arrested six persons in this case, who are being questioned. The incident took place in Turki village where two youths, Gopal Lal Dev (22) and Puneet Kumar (15), were arrested after accusing them of stealing mobile phones from Gopal Lal Dev’s house, was brutally beaten by some villagers. It is alleged that the villagers beat both of them with sticks, rods and iron rods.

Following the incident, the accused absconded, while both the injured were admitted by their relatives first to the local PHC and then to the DMCH in a critical condition. Gopal Lal Dev died during treatment at DMCH, while Puneet Kumar’s treatment is still going on.

According to the police, initial investigation revealed that the mobile phone of a person named Pappu Sada was stolen. On suspicion, Pappu Sada and some of his associates grabbed Gopal and Puneet and started beating them up.

In this case, the police have arrested Pradeep Sada, Pappu Sada, Rajkumar Sada alias Chhotkin Sada and the wives of all three. Police are questioning all of them. Police said that the body will be handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem.
