Delhi BJP protests against Kejriwal’s ‘occupation’ of AAP MP’s bungalow

Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi unit president Vijay Goel along with party workers on Friday protested against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal and accused him of unauthorized occupation from the government bungalow allotted to the AAP MP. Goyal said he will lodge a complaint with the Rajya Sabha chairman over the matter.

BJP leaders demonstrated outside the AAP MP’s bungalow at 5 Ferozshah Road. During this, he criticized Kejriwal and said that he had earlier promised not to avail government facilities.

He said this rally is being organized to expose Kejriwal’s double standards to the public.

Kejriwal left the Chief Minister’s residence

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday vacated his official residence at 6 Flagstaff Road, where he had been living for the last nine years. After this, he and his family moved to Lutyens Delhi to live in the residence allotted to AAP Rajya Sabha member Ashok Mittal.

The former Union minister said in a statement that it was inappropriate for Kejriwal to stay in a bungalow allotted to an MP as the facilities are offered at reduced rates for parliamentary functions.

Goyal said in a statement that he will lodge a formal complaint in this regard with the Rajya Sabha Chairman, raising questions on how an MP can give up his official residence to another person.
