Delhi man’s hilarious comparison between momos and dim sums goes viral

Momos are India’s favourite snack, and people experiment with flavours ranging from tandoori to Afghani. Recently, a man’s funny comparison between momos and dim sums has taken the internet by storm.

The viral post shows a curious man asking his friend from Delhi what is the difference between momos and dim sums as they both look and taste the same.

His friend Rishabh Kaushik’s response has taken the internet by storm. He said, “The only difference is how they are served – if they come in a bamboo box, they are called dim sums, but if they are on a plate, they are momos.” He summed it up perfectly with, “The bamboo box is what makes dim sums tastier, and the plate is what makes momos tastier.”

Rishabh took to social media platform X to share a screenshot of the conversation with the caption, “Am I right or not?” The screenshot of their WhatsApp chat took netizens by storm, garnering over 152,000 views and sparking several other hilarious comparisons between the dishes.

One user wrote: “Momos: Rs 50, Dimsum (same with a fancier box and name): Rs 450.”

Another said: “If you pay 100 rupees and eat with your hands, it’s momos; if you pay 500 rupees and use chopsticks, it’s dim sum.”

A third user commented: “The shape is also different, that’s all.”

A fourth comment read: “Momos are made with maida. Dim sum is made with rice leaves.”
