Three innovative and inspiring schools from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu were on Thursday named winners of the World’s Best Schools Awards 2024, a record year for Indian schools, and two of them will receive $10,000 each. That India succeeds with not one but three schools demonstrates that the nation’s institutions truly are among the best in the world. “I am hopeful that governments will now look to their shining examples to see what can be achieved when schools commit to high performance and when education seeks to address some of the biggest challenges facing our societies,” said Vikas Pota, founder of T4 Education and the World’s Best Schools Awards.
CM RISE School Vinoba, originally founded for tribal girls in an urban slum community who were hesitant to adopt formal education, was recognized for innovative practices such as integrating education with local festivals and organizing early morning sports sessions. The school plans to use the prize money to expand its Learning and Development Laboratory.
Ryan International School, Delhi was recognized for addressing water scarcity and pollution through innovative projects such as hydroponic and biogas plants. The school intends to use the prize money to expand its green technologies and establish a startup incubator for student-led environmental projects.
