Naxal News: A 16-year-old boy was allegedly beaten to death by Naxalites on Tuesday night in Puarti village of Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. On the matter, NCPCR president Priyank Kanungo said, The incident of lynching of a 16-year-old student by Naxalites is condemnable. Extremist ideology has always been against children. There is no place for such thoughts in our society. It is very important for the society and the nation to put an end to Naxalism. He said that in this particular case, necessary recommendations are being sent to the Chhattisgarh government for the safety of the students. According to the police, the student has been identified as Soyam Shankar. He was killed on suspicion of being a police informer.

House of two feared Naxalite leaders in Sukma

This year, more than a dozen people have been killed in Naxalite violence in Sukma. Puarti is a Naxalite stronghold. At least two feared Naxalite leaders have houses in the area. 1. Barse Deva, chief of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA). 2. His predecessor Madavi Hidma. Hidma is now the Maoist commander-in-chief of South Bastar.

Sukma Superintendent of Police Kira Chavan said Soyam was killed around 8 or 9 pm on Tuesday. Naxalites He did. He was wearing a school uniform. His family had shifted to Palnar (in neighbouring Dantewada), but he had gone to Puarti to meet his relatives after hearing the news of his sister-in-law’s death. The incident took place barely 3 km from a new police camp at Puarti.

Soyam Shankar’s body was brought to Sukma district headquarters. The post-mortem was conducted at the district hospital here. Police said an FIR for murder was registered at Jagargunda police station. Investigation into the matter is underway.
