The third day of the Democratic National Convention will be headlined by several key political speeches, including those from Tim Walz and Kamala Harris. Meanwhile, there will also be performances by big-name artists. Wednesday’s performers include Beyoncé, John legend and drummer Sheila E.
All of these musicians were seen doing mic tests before their performance at the United Center, which will be a de facto endorsement of Harris. Stevie Wonder’s mic test got the crowd going. ABC reporters momentarily paused the live broadcast and allowed Stevie Wonder’s mic test to be replayed. Here’s the video:
In addition to that, it was also confirmed that legendary talk show host Oprah Winfrey will also be at the convention to endorse Kamala Harris. Notably, she also endorsed Harris and Joe Biden at the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

Fans also wondered if Beyoncé and Taylor Swift will perform at the convention. Beyoncé’s song “Freedom,” a staple at Kamala Harris’ rallies, is being played frequently at the Democratic National Convention. Several of Taylor Swift’s songs were also being played from time to time. CNN reported on July 23 that Beyoncé has reportedly given Harris’ campaign permission to use “Freedom” for the 2024 White House campaign.
Donald Trump also recently released a campaign video using Beyoncé’s “Freedom,” and the star apparently didn’t take it too well. On August 21, The Independent reported that Beyoncé had threatened to send a cease-and-desist letter to the Trump campaign asking them to stop using her songs in campaign videos.
It is worth noting that Beyoncé and Swift have not endorsed anyone so far.
