Don’t let arrogance lead you to ruin: Ace investor Vijay Kedia tells IndiGo

Ace investor Vijay Kedia has criticized Indigo Airlines for its deteriorating customer service and reliability. In a post on your last resort.

Kedia, a shareholder and frequent traveler, tagged Indigo management in his post. “Before, Indigo was always my first choice. Now it’s my last,” he wrote, noting that passengers would only choose Indigo as a last option if they had an alternative.

He highlighted two major problems: flight delays and rude behavior of staff, which he believes are damaging the airline’s reputation. Indigo currently has a 62% market share, but Kedia warned that growing competition from airlines like Air India, revived struggling airlines and new entrants could threaten its dominance.

He urged Indigo to address these concerns before it is too late, saying: “Don’t let arrogance lead you to ruin.”

Recently, Indigo faced another setback when its website and booking system suffered technical glitches, leading to long queues and slow check-ins at airports.

Passengers flooded social media with complaints, with one traveler comparing the situation at a busy Indigo counter to a “train station”.

Indigo apologized and assured customers they were working to fix the issue.

On October 4, 2024, InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of Indigo, saw its shares fall by 2.28%, closing at ₹4,609.35.
