DU Admission 2024: DU CSAS Round 2 Seat Allotment Result: 6100 Seats Vacant

Reports suggest that a total of 24,869 fresh allotments were made and 27,554 candidates were given higher preferences through up-gradation option in round 2. The Delhi University press release reads, “In the second round of allotment, the University will make additional allotments to fill up the seats optimally so that the Academic Session can commence from 29th August, 2024. As per the policy of the University, in the second round, all the candidates who were rejected in round I due to invalid certificate or document have been reconsidered in the UR category on the basis of their merit and preference, subject to availability of seats.”
Allotment of seats for admission to the University of Delhi will be based on a single common rank. The rank is determined by applying tie-breaking rules.
DU Admissions 2024:Tiebreaker rules
- Best 3 Subjects: In cases where two or more candidates have equal marks in CUET UG 2024, DU will first use the percentage of aggregate marks in the best 3 subjects of Class XII as a tie-breaker.
- Rule 2-Best 4 Subjects: If the tie persists even after considering the best three subjects, DU will use the aggregate marks in the best 4 subjects of Class XII to determine the rank.
- Rule 3- Top 5 Subjects: Preference will be given to candidates with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the top 5 subjects of 12th grade.
- Rule 4- Age Factor: If there is a tie even after considering academic scores, the University will give preference to candidates with an earlier date of birth.
- Rule 5 – Alphabetical Order: In the rare cases where all other tie-breaking criteria fail, the University will determine the ranking based on the alphabetical order of the candidates’ names.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat will have to accept the seat allotted by DU UG CSAS by August 27. Universities have time till August 29 to verify and approve the online applications. The last date for payment of fee for the second allotment is August 30 at 4:59 pm.

- CUET UG 2024 Results Table
- 10th and 12th Grade Certificate and Report Card
- Transfer Certificate (TC) or School Completion Certificate (SLC)
- Migration certificate, category certificate (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD), if applicable
- Passport size photographs
- Address proof (such as Aadhaar card, voter ID or passport)
- Provisional certificate (from the last school attended) and character certificate (from the last institution attended)
