Elon Musk has announced the closure of the X platform in Brazil. This means that X employees will no longer be there, although Brazilians will continue to use X. Along with this, Elon Musk compared the Chief Justice to Lord Voldemort, the villain of the famous science fiction film Harry Potter.

Elon Musk made another post on X on Saturday and said that X is shutting down its operations in Brazil due to the censorship order of Brazilian judge Alexander de Moraes. Earlier, X had asked the platform to remove a content or else Elon Musk was informed that he would be arrested.
The tension has been going on for about a year
According to a Reuters report, earlier this year, the Chief Justice ordered Platform X to block some accounts. This decision was taken while investigating the so-called digital militia, which was accused of spreading fake news and hatred during the government of far-right former President Jair Bolsonaro.

Earlier this year, Musk had said that he would reactivate the accounts which the judge had asked to be closed. Elon Musk acquired the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, in the year 2022. After this, he has made many changes on this platform. Apart from changing the name here, he even changed the policy of Blue Badge.
