Electric commercial vehicle maker Euler Motors on Tuesday launched its manufacturing and R&D facility in Palwal in Haryana, which was set up with an investment of Rs 100 crore to cater to the growing demand.

The plant, spread over 500,000 square feet, has the capacity to produce 36,000 vehicles a year and will serve as Euler Motors’ domestic manufacturing hub, catering to growing demand for its three-wheeled vehicle, the company said.

Euler Motors said it plans to expand its presence to 40 cities by fiscal year 2025 from the current 26 cities.

“Our new factory represents a significant advancement in the manufacturing of commercial electric three-wheelers. This facility will enhance our production capacity and help us deliver locally manufactured vehicles that meet the evolving needs of our customers and the industry,” said Gaurav Kumar, Director, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, Euler Motors.

The new plant has an automated assembly line connected through a proprietary manufacturing execution system (MES), which drives production efficiency by tracking the vehicle lifecycle from production to delivery, the company said.

A dedicated learning and development centre at the plant will equip the workforce with the right skills and create employment opportunities in the region, the company said, adding that it currently employs more than 500 people and 20 per cent of them are women.

“The ongoing transformation in the mobility segment in India can only be fully achieved with strong local manufacturing and localised innovation,” said Saurav Kumar, Founder and CEO of Euler Motors.

He further said that Palwal, which has a strong network of suppliers in the vicinity, is the ideal location for the company’s growth.

“As we expand into new markets and aim to achieve 15 percent growth in FY25, this facility will help us respond to increased customer demand and adapt to changes in processes and products with agility and flexibility,” he added.
