Blender makes it easy!

A key tool you need to quickly prepare a delicious and comforting bowl of rasam is a blender. Prepare a tomato paste for the stew in the blender. Then, let it cook on the stove diluted with some water and more ingredients and voila, you have a quick bowl of rasam ready. You can drink it as a soup or cook some rice to go with it for lunch.

How to make rasam to boost immunity | Instant rasam recipe for monsoon

Blend the tomatoes with the pepper, ginger, garlic, jeera, tamarind and coriander stems. Add ghee to a pot, add asafoetida, mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves and red chillies. Let everything splutter and then add the blended paste. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Add salt and rasam powder. Then add water and let it simmer on a low to medium flame for 10 minutes. Add lots of fresh coriander and serve hot. Enjoy!
