FIR against 12 lakh youth is wrong, says Himanta Biswa Sarma – will complain against DGP to Election Commission – FIR against 12 lakh youth is wrong Himanta Biswa Sarma will complain against DGP to Election Commission

ranchi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has sought the resignation of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for “reneging” on promises made to the people during the 2019 assembly elections. Himanta Biswa Sarma alleged that the Jharkhand government has failed on all fronts, including stopping infiltration. He said that the time has come for him to resign and leave politics for failing to fulfil the promises made to the youth during the elections. Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke to reporters in Ranchi on Sunday.

FIR against 12 thousand unknown persons is wrong

Himanta Biswa Sarma recently asked the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha to file an FIR under “non-bailable sections” against around 12,000 unidentified people, including BJP leaders, during a Bharatiya Janata Yuva March (BJYM) rally in Ranchi. He also criticised the coalition government. The police fired tear gas, water cannons and also fired rubber bullets to disperse the crowd. He said the DGP should give the names of 12,000 people within three days, failing which the party will move to court.

Will demand the dismissal of the DGP of the Electoral Commission

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said such brutality is unheard of in independent India… I have dealt with ULFA, but have never seen anything like this. I will write a letter to the Election Commission asking them to remove the DGP (of Jharkhand) from his post, because (fair) elections cannot be held in the state with such an officer in charge. The FIR against 12,000 youth is intended to threaten workers. Assembly elections are proposed in Jharkhand this year.
