Three stolen bicycles recovered at the request of the four detainees

Mango police have arrested five members of the bike thieves gang. At the behest of the police, the police conducted a raid and also recovered three stolen bikes. Among those arrested are Aftab Ali, Aayan Ali, Istiyajul Haq alias Raju and two minors. The minor was sent to judicial remand and the other three were sent to jail. The police will take them to judicial remand and find out about the people associated with the gang. Addressing a press conference held at the SSP office auditorium on Monday, City SP Rishabh Garg said that on the night of August 18, information was received that four suspected youths were riding two bikes. Following which, after checking, the youths riding both bikes were stopped near the turning point of Prakash school. Seeing the police, all of them started running. The police chased and caught all the youths. During interrogation they said that both the bikes were stolen. Both the bikes were stolen from Sakchi Bazaar and Jubilee Park. According to their information, the police recovered the stolen bike from the house of Raju, a resident of Golmuri. All those arrested have criminal records.
They have been stealing bikes for five months: City SP Rishabh Garg said that Aftab Ali has formed a gang to steal vehicles. They were involved in stealing bikes for about five to six months. After stealing the bike, they would sell it cheaply. After that they used to divide that amount among themselves. Police said that these people only target old vehicles.
