Bokaro: Former soldier Vashishtha Prasad Singh (82), a resident of Kurmidih, who was an inspiration to the ex-servicemen of Bokaro, merged with the Panchatatva on Tuesday. During his 28 years in the army, he proved his mettle in the 1965 and 1971 wars. His elder son Uday Shankar Singh lit the funeral pyre at Chas Garga Ghat.
