Jharsuguda. Jharsuguda police have arrested four accused, including the main accused, in the case of murder of a brother by firing over professional rivalry. All of them have been sent to prison after a court challan was issued to them on Wednesday. The arrested accused include main accused Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Azad Khan and Shahbaz Khan. One pistol and 15 rounds of ammunition, one revolver and three rounds of ammunition, one four-wheeler, one scooter, blood-stained clothes etc. have been seized from them. Jharsuguda SP said that Sameer Khan had lodged a complaint at the police station that on Monday a youth named Azad Khan took his younger brother Shahjahan Khan (26) from his house saying that he was the son of Imran Khan (Laddan). (30) Go to KGN Mukhtar Poultry Farm located in Behrapat. Where they have to discuss business. When Shahjahan Khan did not return even after the night passed, the next morning he asked Azad Khan. He said that Shahjahan had been murdered earlier that night. He somehow managed to escape alive from the scene of the incident. Only after this, Sameer Khan lodged a written complaint regarding the murder of his brother at Sadar Police Station. When the police registered the case and started investigation, Shahjahan’s body was not found at the poultry farm.
The police had recovered the body under the Rampela bridge.
The main accused, Imran, had surrendered at the police station after the murder. He said that after firing, they picked up the body and threw it from the Rampela bridge in Mahanadi under the Rengali police station situated on the Sambalpur-Jharsuguda border. Following this, the police and fire brigade team rushed there and recovered the body. SP said that investigation into the case is still going on to get to the bottom of this murder.
