From Aamir to Salman: BJP MP talks about Bollywood’s Khans – India TV

Kangana Ranaut in Aap Ki Adalat

Aap Ki Adalat, hosted by a veteran journalist Rajat SharmaThe actress turned politician will be a witness Kangana Ranaut as the latest guest on the show. The ‘Queen’ star has returned to the popular television news show after nine years. Over the years, Kangana has been quite vocal on various socio-political issues and is now back in the news for her upcoming film, Emergency, in which she will play former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. On the show, she also spoke about the Khans of Bollywood and the films she was offered in which they featured.

When India TV Chairman Rajat Sharma asked Kangana if Aamir Khan “Salman had offered me a role in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, Shahrukh had offered me a role in ‘Zero’,” the ‘Fashion’ actress replied.

”In 2006, when I was struggling to get roles, no one was offering me anything. Not even supporting roles. When my film Queen became a hit in 2014, the offers came pouring in. I felt I had a chance apart. Like Vyjayantimala, Sri Devi “He used to do films on his own. Will Aamir Khan allow me to give my best performance? Salman is a bigger than life star. Temptations… they are giants of the industry. Salman is my dear friend, Aamir is so nice,” Kangana added.

On the show, Kangana also revealed if she ever said no to… Akshay Kumar for a film. In response, she said, “Akshay Kumar was offering me a role in ‘Singh is Bling’. As an actress, I created my own existence (astitva) in the industry. Nobody wants to make a film on an old lady, who was our Prime Minister (Indira Gandhi) three times.”

Rajat Sharma, India TV’s editor-in-chief, asked Kangana if she had turned down offers from all the Khans, Kumars and Kapoors. Kangana replied, “Earlier, I used to ask for roles, I would go here and there.”

Will Kangana quit film industry to pursue politics?

On whether she would quit films after joining politics, Kangana said, “Cinema is a job that completely absorbs you. Politics is also very demanding. From the day I joined politics, I could not shoot for a single day for the last six months. I am trying to find a balance. Let’s see what happens. But people in the Mumbai film industry will be happy ‘ki Kangana bhaag jayegi’.”

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut will be seen in Emergency, a film she is directing and starring in. The film also stars Anupam KherMilind Soman, Shreyas Talpade and the late actor Sstish Kaushik.
