While it seems sensible to avoid walking under an open staircase for fear of something falling on you, there are also superstitious justifications that Virgos may consider for staying away from stairs. Some Virgos tend to believe that an open staircase has a triangular shape, which in some mythologies, represents life.
Therefore, they believe that the risk of awakening the ghosts that reside in the triangle is not worth it when they go under the ladder. Superstitions are often a way for zodiac signs like Virgo to feel like they have more control. Many superstitious Pisces believe that breaking a mirror will bring them bad luck for seven years. If you ask them what this belief is based on, some of them may reply that mirrors were once thought to be representations of the soul. Therefore, breaking a mirror was thought to be bad for the soul.
Additionally, some of these water signs are also hesitant to open an umbrella in indoor spaces. It seems to be a bad idea by default given the possibility of damaging furniture or poking someone in the eye. But some Pisces believe in a widespread myth that claims the Sun god is offended when the umbrella is opened indoors, away from the sun’s rays. While this may seem relatively outlandish, Pisces often stand firm on their stance, which can be a bit annoying to their friends.

Some Sagittarius natives may even be of the opinion that an itchy right palm portends a large amount of money. And they think that an itchy left palm portends an outflow of money. Whether they genuinely believe in superstitions or not, most of them find these myths entertaining and harmless.
