Head Coach of India Gautama Gambhir Gambhir is an impulsive person and there is no secret about it. He has been caught on camera several times returning the favour to his opponents. Gambhir had recently been in the news for losing his cool in Virat Kohli During a LPI match. And so it came as no surprise when former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recalled an incident when Gambhir lost his cool and got into a fight with a truck driver in Delhi.

‘A bit serious but he scored a lot of runs’
“A passionate guy. A hard worker when it comes to his craft. A bit serious, but he scored a lot of runs. He always wore his heart on his sleeve. As for his temperament, he can be very irascible. But everyone has a different character.
“Gautam is someone who once got into a fight with a truck driver in Delhi. He got out of his car and climbed onto the truck to grab the driver by the collar because he had taken a wrong turn and was swearing at him. I said, ‘Gauti, what are you doing?’ So that made him Gautam,” Chopra said.
What’s next for Team India?
Team India will begin their schedule of Test matches and maintain their bid for the World Test Championship final. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named the official squad for the first Test match against Bangladesh which will be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The first Test match will begin on September 19, 2024, at 09:30 am IST.
The Indian cricket team has a packed Test schedule as they will also face New Zealand at home and Australia in an away series this year.
