Police have arrested four criminals in the case of theft of Rs 1.90 lakh cash and liquor worth Rs 40 lakh by cutting the roof of the government liquor shop located on Station Road in Bagbera police station area. Among those arrested are Arun Prasad, Akash Singh, Sunny alias Natru and Sanjay Sah alias Kankatta. After questioning all of them, all of them were sent to jail on Monday. Giving information at his office on Monday, DSP Alam said that on the night of August 8-9, five persons committed theft by cutting the roof of the shop. When the shopkeeper got the information, he registered a case at Baghbeda police station. After registering the case, the SIT was formed under the leadership of PC Sinha, in-charge of Bagbera police station. Later the police conducted raids based on some clues. On this basis, the police arrested four persons. Rs 1,500 in cash and a broken black locker were recovered from them. DSP Alam said that a cruel criminal of this gang, Deepak Sahu alias Bhagna, is still on the run. Police are conducting raids to arrest him.
Police said that many criminal cases have already been registered against all the arrested criminals. Eight cases have been registered against Akash Singh at different police stations. A case has also been registered against Arun Prasad and Sanjay Sahu.
They all fled after the incident. Kolkata Police said that after the incident, they all fled to Kolkata. During that time, Deepak had given five thousand rupees to all of them. Sanjay also got injured in his leg while fleeing after stealing. Whose treatment he also received in Kolkata itself. Police said that they all are vicious thieves.
