UP News: Police have taken action against a girl for allegedly raping her and forcing her to convert to Islam in Ramganj police station area of Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh. Three accused in the case have been arrested. Ramganj Police Station SHO Ajayendra Patel gave information in this regard.
He said the 18-year-old alleged in a police complaint on Saturday that she was tricked into leaving. The victim was tricked into signing some documents and forced to convert to Islam. The girl further alleged that on July 5, 2024, people from a particular community convinced her and took her to a place. Where they took him, an affidavit had already been prepared and they forcibly signed it.

The identity of the arrested defendant was not revealed.
SHO Ajayendra Patel said the victim was pressurised to accept Islam but when she was not ready, she was raped multiple times. The station in-charge said that based on her complaint, the police on Saturday registered an FIR against 5 persons under the UP Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act and other sections. Police sources said 3 accused have been arrested but the identity of the arrested accused has not been revealed.
