GATE 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee—the nodal institute organizing the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2025—will conclude the registration process for admission to postgraduate engineering programs on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Aspiring candidates who are yet to register for the exam can visit the official website of GATE 2025 and apply for the exam at gate2025.iitr.ac.in tomorrow.

As per the notification, the GATE 2025 application can only be filled online and a candidate can fill only one application form. If a candidate wishes to appear in the second job (from the combination of two jobs), they can add the respective job to their original application. IIT-Roorkee warned that in case of multiple applications, only one will be accepted and the remaining applications will be rejected without any refund of the fee paid.

The exams will be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025 in two shifts, morning and afternoon, on each of these days. The first shift (morning shift) will start at 9:30 am and end at 12:30 pm, while the second shift (afternoon shift) will start at 2:30 pm and end at 5:30 pm.

Candidates should note that GATE 2025 scorekeeper It will be valid for three years from the date of publication of the results.

GATE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

As per the notification, candidates who are currently studying in the third year or above years of any undergraduate program or have completed any government approved degree program in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities are eligible for appear for GATE 2025.

GATE 2025: Application Fee

Women/SC/ST/PwD candidates (per test): $900 between (August 24 to September 26) and $1400 (with late payment fee: September 27 to October 7, 2024).

All other candidates, including foreign citizens (per test): $1800 (August 24 to September 26) and $2,300 (with late payment fee: September 27 to October 7, 2024 to October 7, 2024)

GATE 2025: Documents required for registration

Candidates must submit the following documents to complete the registration process:

  • Photograph: The candidate will require a high resolution passport size photograph (3.5 cm wide × 4.5 cm high) in JPEG/JPG format. The file size must be a minimum of 5 KB and a maximum of 1 MB.
  • Signature: High resolution image of the candidate’s signature (3.25 to 3.75) in JPEG/JPG format. The file size MUST be between 5 KB (minimum) and 200 KB (maximum). Candidates should note that signatures other than black and blue will NOT be accepted.
  • Scanned copy of category certificate (SC/ST) in pdf format (if applicable).
  • scanned copy of certificate of people with disabilities in pdf format (if applicable).
  • Scanned copy of the Dyslexia certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
  • Scanned copy of valid photograph Identity document: Aadhaar-UID (preferable)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License.
  • The photo ID must have the candidate’s name, date of birth, and a unique photo ID number.
  • Address for communication (including PIN code)

  • Net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI details for payment of fees

GATE 2025: How to Apply for GATE 2025

  • Go to the official website of GATE 2025 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
  • Click on the Apply Online link available on the home page.
  • Register by providing the required information.
  • Sign in with registered credentials
  • Complete the GATE 2025 application form and submit all the necessary documents mentioned above.
  • Pay the application fee and click continue.
  • Please save and carry a printed copy of the application for future reference.

GATE 2025: Exam Pattern

As per the IIT-Roorkee notification, GATE 2025 will consist of 30 exams. the way of exams It will be in English and entirely objective. Candidates may choose one or two exams from permitted combinations. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and the GATE scores will be valid for three years from the date of announcement of the result.

Question types include multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple selection questions (MSQs). and numerical response type (NAT) questions. In the FAQ, only one of four options is correct. In MSQs, one or more than one of four options is correct; and for NAT questions, the answer must be entered using a virtual keyboard. Candidates should only use the virtual on-screen calculator provided for their calculations.
