From viral trends to national achievements, Amul frequently shares creative themes on issues of public interest. Their latest illustration celebrates a historic win for India at the 66th Grammy Awards. At the ceremony held on February 4, 2024, fusion band ‘Shakti’ took home the award for Best Global Music Album. They won this award for their album, The momentThis iconic band consists of Ustad Zakir Hussain, John McLaughlin, vocalist Shankar Mahadevan, percussionist V Selvaganesh and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan. Their Grammy award has brought Indian music to the forefront of the world and made the country proud.

The Amul special track features the band members – Mahadevan, Rajagopalan, Hussain and Selvaganesh – with the Grammy trophy between them. Three of them are seen holding buttered fingertips. Two of the members also have buttered bread slices in their hands. Amul is famous for its incorporation of wordplay in its tracks and this one is no different. The text at the top reads, “Garammy Garam snack for” (a pun on “garam” meaning warm and Grammy Awards.”). Below the band’s illustration are the words “Amul.
