Glean: AI search startup Glean announces new funding at $4.6 billion valuation

Enterprise AI Search Company Glean raised more than $260 million in a new round of funding, doubling its valuation to $4.6 billion, as investor interest in startups deploying AI-powered services continues to grow.

The Series E funding round, led by Altimeter and DST Global, has boosted Glean’s valuation from its previous $2.2 billion in February.

The company uses conversational AI assistants and large language models as OpenAI‘s GPTpowered by ChatGPT, to generate personalized responses to queries based on a company’s internal data.

Founded in 2019 by former Google Glean counts Reddit, Pinterest, Databricks and others among its clients.

The company also announced new features that allow users to create “multi-step” directions using natural language to eliminate the need for coding or direction engineering skills.


Co-founder and CEO Arvind Jainwho also co-founded the data management startup Rubricsaid in February that the company plans to increase hiring.
