Google launches Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Watch 3

Google has unveiled the next generation of its wearables, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Watch 3. Both products, unveiled at the Made By Google event on Aug. 13, promise to improve the user experience through innovative features and cutting-edge design, Google said.

Pixel Buds Pro 2

According to Google, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are designed for comfort and a secure fit, using data from 45 million ear scans to create an optimal shape. The company added that the new Tensor A1 chip enables a 27% reduction in size while improving performance and battery life.

Key features include a stabilizer that rotates for a personalized fit during exercise and the first Tensor chip in a headset, which processes audio 90 times faster than sound. Active noise cancellation with patented Silent Seal 2.0 technology adapts to the environment and cancels noise up to two times more effectively than previous models.

The Buds Pro 2 come with an improved acoustic architecture, including large 11mm drivers. Other features like Clear Calling improve voice clarity during calls, while Conversation Detection allows users to engage in conversations without taking off the earbuds, Google said.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 also support the Find My Device network, allowing users to easily track the location of their earbuds, as well as seamlessly switch audio between devices.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 will be priced at 22,900 in India.

Pixel 3 watch

The Pixel Watch 3 is available in two sizes (41mm and 45mm), a first for a Pixel smartwatch. The new Actua display is brighter and more responsive, giving users clear visibility even in broad daylight, according to Google.

With advanced running features, Pixel Watch 3 helps users plan and execute their running routines, offering real-time guidance and performance tracking. New preparation and cardio tracking features help users balance activity and recovery, optimizing training routines, Google added.

The smartwatch integrates deeply with Google services, allowing users to control their Pixel devices, access Google Maps offline, and use a Google TV remote right from their wrist.

The Pixel Watch 3 features a 24-hour battery life with an always-on display and can last up to 36 hours in battery saver mode. Fast charging capabilities ensure users spend less time tethered to a charger.

The 41mm Pixel Watch 3 will be priced at 39,990, and the 45mm variant will be priced at 43,990. Only the WiFi versions will be available in India.

Focus on India

Google has announced the launch of three customer care centres, opening tomorrow in Delhi and Bengaluru, with a third one opening soon in Mumbai. These exclusive centres will serve Google device owners and offer assistance with repairs, replacements and queries.

The centres offer a range of Google products available in India, including Pixel phones, Watches, Buds, as well as Fitbit and Nest devices, regardless of where they were purchased or their warranty status. This initiative is being run in collaboration with Flipkart’s services arm, F1 Info Solutions and Services Private Limited.
