‘Google My Name’: PhD student selling chicken 65 on Tamil Nadu streets surprises tourist

In a heartwarming video doing the rounds on X (formerly Twitter), a street vendor of 65 chicken has stunned a tourist and the internet. The vendor, Darul Rayan, revealed to the tourist that he is not only an expert cook but also a doctor in biotechnology.

The tourist, who stumbled upon the stall via Google, was impressed by the flavours and asked the vendor about its history. Rayan humbly shared that he is pursuing his PhD in SRM University and has even published research papers. Rayan said confidently, “Google my name and you will find my research papers.”

The video has sparked an outpouring of admiration and respect for Rayan, with many considering him an inspiration. Comments are full of praise, calling him “tough,” “hardworking,” and a true embodiment of passion and dedication.

In another similar incident, a PhD student with double B.Ed from Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir is selling dry fruits and spices from a cart in Shopian district. Dr Manzoor-ul-Hasan, a PhD student and professor of political science, has a Masters in Public Administration, two B.Ed degrees and post-graduate diplomas in Computer Applications and Disaster Management.
