Government to release 18th PM-KISAN payment today: See if you are eligible or not

New Delhi: The government will launch the 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today, October 5. Under this installment, more than 9.5 crores are small and marginal. farmers across India will receive a direct cash transfer of Rs 2,000 each, for a total of Rs 20,000 million.

This is the third tranche of 2024 and an important step to support the agricultural sector. The PM-KISAN scheme provides financial assistance to farmers owning up to two hectares of land. The latest payment was disbursed on June 18 and benefited over 9.25 million farmers with Rs 2,000 each.

PM-KISAN Scheme: How can farmers check eligibility and enrollment?

Farmers who are unsure of their eligibility or want to check if they are already enrolled in the plan can easily check their status by following these steps:

1. Visit the official website of PM-KISAN.

2. Navigate to the “Beneficiary List” page.

3. Enter details like state, district, sub-district, block and village.

4. Click “Get Report” to see if your name is included on the list.

How to complete eKYC?

To continue receiving payments under the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers must complete the eKYC process. There are three ways to complete this:

1. OTP based eKYC

Farmers with an Aadhaar-linked mobile number can visit the PM-KISAN portal, click on “e-KYC”, enter their Aadhaar number and submit the OTP received on their mobile phone to complete the process.

2. Biometrics-based eKYC

Farmers can visit any Common Service Center (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK) for biometric authentication. They must carry their Aadhaar card and the linked mobile number with them. A service fee of ₹15 applies.

3. Face Authentication eKYC

Farmers can use PM-KISAN mobile application for facial authentication. After logging in with their registered mobile number, they can scan their face using the Aadhaar Face RD app.

How to consult the list of beneficiaries?

Alternatively, farmers can check the list of beneficiaries displayed at local Panchayats.

Launched in 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme aims to provide Rs 6,000 annually to small and marginal farmers, spread over three installments of Rs 2,000 each. This financial assistance helps farmers manage farm expenses and maintain their livelihoods.
