Gramophone: Agri-tech startup Gramophone appoints Navneet Singh Batra as co-founder

Agritech startup Gramophone said on Tuesday it has promoted a long-term executive from the company The name Singh Batra To the position of co-founder.

Batra has more than a decade of experience in Consumer goods and agricultural industriesIn his new role, he will oversee strategic initiatives to enhance the company’s market presence and drive growth. His responsibilities include entering new markets, expanding marketing initiatives, driving margins, optimizing customer acquisition strategies and expanding reach across a variety of agricultural markets.

Batra previously worked as the Chief Retail Officer for Gramophone. Before joining the startup, he worked at nurture.retail and JioMart.

“Our mission to empower farmers through innovative technology aligns perfectly with my passion for transforming the agricultural landscape. Together, we will continue to support and uplift the farming community, ensuring they have access to the best resources and guidance throughout their journey,” said Batra.

The agritech startup offers a smart farming platform for Indian farmers. Through technology, it manages the entire farmer experience, from agronomic advice to fulfilling farm input needs through a distribution network serving over 50,000 villages. The platform works with over 2 million farmers and retailers, providing them with guidance throughout the crop lifecycle, from seed selection and sowing to efficient use of farm inputs.
