Gujarat Floods Video: 19 more people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents in Gujarat. The number of people who lost their lives in such incidents rose to 26 in three days. Heavy rains continued in parts of Gujarat for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday. At the same time, 17,800 people have been evacuated from flood-affected areas and shifted to safe places. Army soldiers are also involved in relief work. The video of the relief rescue is being shared on social media.
The video was shared by Gujarat Information. In the video, Indian Coast Guard soldiers are seen rescuing people trapped in the flood using a helicopter. In the video, a rope is seen being dropped from the helicopter and people are being pulled in.
PM Modi spoke to CM Patel
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said in a post on ‘X’ that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was briefed over the phone about the heavy rainfall situation in Gujarat. He took details of relief and rescue operations. PM Modi provided guidance on safety of life and property and assured all necessary assistance and cooperation from the central government. The Chief Minister further said that the Prime Minister expressed his concern for Gujarat and is constantly monitoring the situation. He has deep affection for the people of Gujarat. During natural disasters and whenever required, he always stands by the people of Gujarat and the state.
Three army units participate in rescue operations
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and three army contingents are engaged in rescuing people trapped in houses and on rooftops. They are evacuating people to safe places.
