The railway police had caught the accused on charges of robbery on the Vande Bharat train, but he turned out to be the mastermind of Love Jihad. The police have also recovered fake documents and identity cards from the accused.
The police took him to Aligarh.
According to the railway police, the mastermind of Love Jihad, Mohammad Shahbaz, is a resident of Maulana Azad Nagar, Aligarh. The police took the accused to Aligarh for investigation into the case. There, apart from the fake Aadhaar card, PAN card and passbook, other documents were recovered from him. Along with this, statements of many people were taken. Transactions worth crores have been revealed from Mohammad Shahbaz’s PNB account. According to the Ahmedabad railway police, the accused had obtained his identity card in the name of Harshit Chaudhary and used to call himself an Army Major. An Army identity card and other documents have also been recovered from him. Shahbaz used to travel in trains and flights with fake documents.

The father is retired from the army.
The Railway Police investigation has revealed that the father of the accused is retired from the Army. In such a situation, he used the Army identity for this fraud. It has come to light that the accused’s brother is in the Air Force. According to the Railway Police, the police extracted the seat number of Mohammad Shahbaz from the CCTV footage installed at Vande Bharat. They also examined the reservation chart. After this, complete details were received and it was found that the seat where the accused was sitting was reserved in the name of Harshit Chaudhary. The location of the accused was found to be in Delhi as per the mobile number mentioned in the reservation chart. Then the Gujarat Police reached Delhi and arrested the accused.

Harshit Chaudhary said the name
When the railway police caught the accused, he said his name was Harshit Chaudhary and he was a resident of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. He said that he is an army officer. He did not steal anything. Initially the police believed him but when the claim turned out to be false, the police tightened the noose again. During interrogation, the police became suspicious of the accused and hence his biometric Aadhaar card was taken away. A different photo from the Aadhaar card present with the accused was then found.

Fraudulently made cards
After this, when he was strictly interrogated by the police, the accused said that he had made these Aadhaar and PAN cards fraudulently. This Aadhar card and PAN card belong to Harshit Chaudhary, a resident of Bharatpur. In which his photo had been edited at the computer centre in Aligarh. During interrogation, he revealed his real name as Mohammad Shahbaz, a resident of Jamalpur Police Station, Civil Line, Aligarh.

The mobile phone started the scandal
Ahmedabad police were shocked when they searched the accused’s mobile phone during investigation. Photos and videos of 24 different girls were found in the accused’s mobile. During strict interrogation, he said that he used to change his name and call himself an army officer. He used to trap Hindu girls. After this, he establishes physical relations with them either by marrying them or pretending to marry them. He would then also collect money from the same girls. During police interrogation, the accused said that he had trapped around two dozen girls so far.
