Gwalior News: When Gwalior police caught the ambulance and checked it, they were shocked, ‘Angoori’ was full of patients and medicines. Gwalior News Smugglers were using an ambulance in Gwalior to smuggle liquor. Parliamentary police arrested and seized illegal beer and liquor.

Gwalior: Police were carrying out effective checks on Bharat Bandh. Then, Belgadha police station received information from the informant that illegal liquor was being transported in the 108 Janani Express ambulance. Which is going towards Magrauni Shivpuri from Bhitarwar side. Police took action and arrested two accused for possession of illegal liquor.

According to information, the police started carrying out checks by barricading near Deori Tirahe at the location mentioned by the informant. Then, at around 12:30 pm, the police team saw an ambulance coming. Which was stopped for checking. As soon as the ambulance driver saw the police, he tried to speed away the vehicle. However, he could not escape from the clutches of the police. The ambulance was stopped by the police team.

Liquor smugglers caught in siege

When the police checked the ambulance, they found two persons sitting in it. They were asked whose name and address. On which the ambulance driver said his name was Surendra Rawat, father of Indrasingh Rawat (27 years), resident of Kaidhod village police station, Belgarha. While the other one told Roshan Rawat, father Sawai Lal Rawat (22 years), resident of Dhighwas police station, Narwar district, Shivpuri.

Illegal liquor found during search

The police team searched the 108 Janani Express ambulance number CG 04-NS-4196. In which 10 boxes of country liquor and 04 boxes of beer were found filled. The police team seized illegal liquor. Further, the accused were caught and taken to Belgadha police station. A case has been registered against them under the Income Tax Act.

The caught smugglers said during interrogation that they were going to Shivpuri with illegal liquor. 108 Janani Express ambulance number CG 04-NS-4196 caught while transporting illegal liquor is attached to Shivpuri Hospital of Magrauni district. Police are trying to find out to whom the accused were going to deliver the liquor and how many more people were involved with them.
