Haryana Election Results 2024: This time, 13 women candidates were elected among the 90 members of the Haryana Assembly. This information was obtained from the election results declared on Tuesday for the state.
Eight women candidates became MLAs in the 2019 assembly elections in Haryana. A total of 1,031 candidates, including 464 independents and 101 women, were in the fray in the elections held on October 5 in the state. Five women MLAs elected in the state assembly belong to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and seven from the Congress.
Savitri Jindal won against Hisar
Independent candidate Savitri Jindal won from Hisar assembly seat. He defeated Ram Niwas Rada of Congress by a margin of 18,941 votes. Jindal is the mother of BJP MP from Kurukshetra and industrialist Naveen Jindal.
BJP candidate Shakti Rani Sharma won from Kalka seat while Krishna Gehlawat won from Rai assembly seat.
Kiran Choudhary’s daughter Ruti also won
BJP candidate Ruti Chaudhary won from Tosham, while party candidate and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh’s daughter Aarti Singh won from Ateli. Ruti Chaudhary is also the daughter of BJP MP Kiran Chaudhary. Kiran Chaudhary, daughter-in-law of former Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal, joined the BJP from the Congress in June this year. BJP’s Bimla Chaudhary won from Pataudi assembly seat.
Vinesh Phogat hoisted the flag from Julana
Among the Congress candidates, Vinesh Phogat won from Julana assembly seat, while former minister and Congress candidate Geeta Bhukkal won from Jhajjar seat. Congress’s Shaili Chaudhary won from Narayangarh seat, while Shakuntala Khatak won from Kalanaur seat. Pooja won from Mullana assembly seat and Renu Bala won from Sadhaura seat.
Congress candidate Manju Choudhary hoisted the winning flag from Nangal Choudhary seat.
