HDFC Bank launches new savings accounts, business cards and insurance solutions for self-employed individuals

HDFC Bank, India’s largest private bank, has introduced GIGA, a new financial suite designed specifically for freelancers and self-employed individuals. This digital program offers a range of products and services designed to meet the unique needs of this rapidly growing workforce.

Main features of GIGA

GIGA Savings Account: Self-employed individuals can choose to maintain a quarterly balance (₹10,000 for metros/urban areas and ₹5,000 for semi-urban/rural areas) or start an investment plan, such as a fixed deposit or recurring deposit.

GIGA Business Debit Card: This card offers cash back on spending and comes with a complimentary personal accidental death cover of up to ₹10 lakh.

GIGA Business Credit Card: Designed for self-employed workers, this card offers a 55-day interest-free credit period and features an accelerated rewards program.
