Rain Alert: The entire Gujarat is filled with water. For the past five days, there has been heavy rain in the state. Heavy rain will be recorded in many districts on Thursday as well. Rivers are swollen. Roads have turned into ponds. Water is entering people’s homes. More than 18 thousand people have been evacuated from flood-affected areas to safe places. In the last 24 hours up to 6 am on Thursday, 295 mm rain was recorded in Bhanwad, Dwarka. While 276 mm rain was recorded in Abdasa of Kutch and 263 mm rain in Kalyanpur. The IMD has predicted heavy rain in coastal areas of Saurashtra and Kutch on Thursday.
26 people died due to rain
It is raining heavily during monsoon in Gujarat. Rivers are swollen in many districts, including Vadodara, and a flood-like situation is prevailing. In the last three days, 26 people have died due to rain and rain-related incidents in Gujarat. More than 18,000 people have been shifted to safe places. Three Army companies, including the NDRF and SDRF, are engaged in relief and rescue work.
The rainy season will continue in Gujarat

The entire city including houses and localities is under water. The Meteorological Department has said that there is no respite from heavy rains in Gujarat at present. Heavy rains are likely to continue for the next two to three days. The Meteorological Department has issued an advisory to fishermen not to go out to sea for the next two to three days.
Some relief after Thursday’s heavy rains
There was less rain in Gujarat on Thursday than on Wednesday. The situation has improved slightly due to the decrease in rainfall. However, rivers are still in spate in Vadodara and some other parts of the state. A flood-like situation persists. Relief and rescue work is going on. PM Modi is also keeping a close eye on the situation. He spoke to CM Bhupendra Patel over the phone for the second consecutive day. He has assured CM Patel of all possible help.
The Indian Meteorological Department has said that the rainy season will continue in Gujarat. The Meteorological Department has forecast rains throughout the day on Thursday in coastal areas of Saurashtra and Kutch.
