Weather Update: Monsoon is active in Rajasthan. The rainy season continues in the state. Heavy rainfall has been recorded in many parts of the state in the last 24 hours. These areas include Jaipur, Dholpur, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Kota, Jhalawar and Pali, Banswara and Sirohi. According to Jaipur Meteorological Centre, the maximum rainfall of 131.0 mm was recorded at Bhungra (Bhilwara) in 24 hours up to 8.30 am on Saturday. Apart from this, 120 mm of rainfall was recorded in Mount Abu tehsil, 110 mm in Khushalgarh, 100 mm in Pratapgarh, 90 mm in Kapasan and Dholpur tehsil and 80 mm in Ramganjmandi.

Some slow rains and others heavy in different parts of the state
According to the Meteorological Department, due to the influence of a weather system, monsoon will be active over many parts of eastern Rajasthan during the next 4 to 5 days. Along with this, there is a strong possibility of light to moderate rainfall and heavy rainfall at some places in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Ajmer and Udaipur divisions. There is a possibility of very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Kota, Udaipur division of the state on August 25 and 26. According to the meteorological centre, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions of western Rajasthan in the next few days and heavy rainfall at some places in Jodhpur division from August 23 to 26.
